Here's another great article from Yoga Journal. It relates to what I wrote in my last blog about following my bliss and listening to that little voice inside and doing what is right for you, not for anyone else.
Your personal dharma is the path you follow toward the highest expression of your own nature and toward the fulfillment of your responsibilities to yourself, to others, to your society, and to the planet...and for most of us, personal dharma comes down to that most basic question: What is the right thing for me to do now? or, Given my nature, my skills, and my personal preferences, what actions should I take to support the greater good?

This question also sits with me…. “given my nature, my skills, and my personal preferences, what actions should I take to support the greater good?” …. there are challenges where I wonderf how much is ego wanting it's own way … and how much is actually my Spirit asserting that I stand up for myself? Personal dharma is a good way to look into this dilema. Thank you for this post… it is very much something I needed to read!
Hi Kelly - ego is something that I am working with as well. It all starts with us but it's deciphering what is it that is ego talking and what is it that is Spirit talking. I am working on this but I'm finding it easier and easier to access my Spirit when I follow my heart, when I am still and listen to that inner voice. This was a good article to put this all into perspective. We are all conditioned to do what's right but what is right for one person is not always what's right for the next.
Alex Chua's recent blogs talks about wanting to do the highest good but starting with one self.
I guess if we get off the path, it's always there for us to get back on.
Blessings - Wendy
the path is ever patient indeed! :)
