Five Things You Don’t Know About Me…
I’ve been tagged by littlefish. Here are some things you might not have known about me.
1) I attended the world premier of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin in London after answering a trivia question from a radio show. I walked the same red carpet as Nicholas Cage and Penelope Cruz.
2) I saw Tom Jones in concert in Cardiff, Wales and threw my underwear at him – okay it was a spare pair I brought with me as I’m too practical to take off my underwear at a concert.
3) I love stationary. I can spend hours at Staples or paper stores – free entertainment for a student. When I was younger, I wanted to own a stationary store. I might still one day but in the meantime, I love sending and receiving letters.
4) I have no cavities or fillings.
5) My favorite word in the English language is “water”. I just love the sound of all the phonemes rolling off your tongue. I love it when it’s said with an English accent.

I laughed out loud at #2 – and less than a week ago I was talking with a friend who met someone who also threw her underwear at Tom Jones – who’d have ever guessed cosmic synchronicity would happen in relation to Tom Jones and underwear? :)
and #4 is reeeeeally amazing – you’re the only person I know who’s reached adulthood without any fillings
that’s hilarious but i’m disappointed you got tagged by someone else first - that’s two out of my five down :)
I totally feel you on the stationery thing. I can wander for hours in a stationery store. All that blank paper, open for so many possibilities. I have several blank journals and notebooks just waiting for the right thing.
And don't even get me started on writing instruments …

Kira - cosmic synchronicity. Yes, there have been a lot of that lately. As a matter of fact, the concert was synchronistic as we only bought the tickets the day of the event. It was a great concert!!
Nicole - I didn't realise that you had tagged me. Sorry. There has been a lot of tagging. I think I've been hit again by Dave.
Sonya - I too have several blank journals. I love opening one for the first time and hearing that crackling noise of a new book. I also love the smell of paper and the texture. Writing instruments - I hear you there too!! I am delightfully surprised when I find a cheap pen that writes so smoothly. It also depends on the paper but I hate pens that bleed.

Wendy - I was just listening to a Janet StraightArrow podcast this morning about how we can balance the health of our body - and Janet said that our body is composed of about 80% water. So I appreciated reading about your love of the word water.

Littlefish - Your stationary words are inspiring - I just posted a comment in my pod yesterday about keeping a journal. :)
